Rhyme ‘n’ Rhythm is a music group aimed at children between six months and four years of age. By using songs, actions, poems and a variety of percussion instruments, children can learn to appreciate and enjoy rhythm and music.

The first half-hour comprises songs and rhymes, with the use of a variety of instruments. The remaining half-hour is an informal time of refreshments, chat and play. We hope that parents/carers will encourage the children by participating as much as possible in the songs and with the actions.

Music Leaders
Loraine Herbert (Keyboard)
Loraine has a Diploma in Music (ALCM) and teaches the piano. She has a degree with the Open University which included courses on the history of music and the study of children's cognitive development.

Both Liz and Loraine have children and believe that songs , rhymes, actions and music play a vital role in the creative and intellectual aspect of a child's development.
